Celebrating Saskatchewan Business at the 2022 ABEX Awards: 11/5/2022

Saskatoon, SK - The 2022 ABEX Awards, presented by Conexus Credit Union, brought together a wide range of businesses from across the province at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon, SK on November 5.

Maven Water and Environment took home top honours of the night with the ‘Business of the Year’ Award, sponsored by the Grant Thornton LLP, as well as the ABEX Growth & Expansion award, sponsored by PFM Capital Inc.

McKercher LLP was inducted into the ‘Saskatchewan Business Hall of Fame’. With almost 80 lawyers practicing in all major areas of the law and their roots tracing back to 1926, McKercher has proudly played an integral role in Saskatchewan's most significant commercial projects and has led litigation cases that have shaped Canadian law. This award was proudly presented by Conexus Credit Union.

The Roger Phillips Chamber Builder Award was presented to Evan Ortynsky, owner and president of Key Auto Group. Evan continues to dedicate his time and expertise, as he has done for decades, to not only his hometown chamber in Yorkon, but to the provincial and national Chambers as well.

Valerie Sluth, founder and CEO at Praxis Consulting, is the 2022 ABEX Business Leader of the Year, sponsored by the University of Regina. Val’s passion for elevating women in business has contributed to the success of many women-owned or led businesses across Saskatchewan.

The 2022 ABEX Awards honoured Eric Dillon as the Community Leader of the Year. This award, sponsored by SaskEnergy, recognizes an individual who has made a positive contribution to Saskatchewan communities through volunteerism and philanthropy. Through exceptional leadership, innovative thinking, mentorship, Eric is the definition of a community builder.
