About Us

Saskatchewan Workers' Compensation Board is an independent body created by provincial legislation, the Workers' Compensation Act 1979, General Regulations, and Exclusion Regulations to administer a compensation system on behalf of workers and employers. The WCB is financially independent of government and special-interest groups.

The Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) operates like an insurance company. We provide guaranteed benefits and programs to injured workers in industries covered by The Workers’ Compensation Act, 2013 and we protect registered employers from lawsuits when a workplace injury happens.
