Jeff McMurray: Jeff McMurray is an Executive Director in KPMG’s Advisory Services practice. His experience includes IT control assessment, architecture, security, audit, and risk reviews. Jeff brings 27 years of IT experience and 17 years of security and risk related practices with him. Jeff leads the Technology Risk Consulting and Cyber Security practices for Saskatchewan and has extensive experience providing Cyber and IT assessments for Saskatchewan Crown Corporations and credit unions. Jeff has led reviews of pre and post system implementation reviews, data conversion audits and project reviews for IT projects for pension funds, Crown Corporations and other entities. He has also performed advisory work for various clients. Engagements range from assessing the current state of a client’s IT and developing a strategy for the client to align their IT and business strategies, to developing risk universes for identifying the critical risks facing an organization.
Nathan Schissel: Nathan practices in the areas of information technology, cybersecurity, data protection and privacy, intellectual property commercialization and licensing, anti-spam compliance, e-commerce, advertising and marketing, and mergers and acquisitions. Nathan has acted as counsel in a wide variety of technology-related transactions, including business-process and technology-based outsourcing; software and systems implementation, development and integration, systems support and maintenance; reseller and distribution arrangements; fintech and payment platform development, emerging blockchain technology, internet and e-commerce; cloud services; procurement of information technology and technology transfer. He also provides technology-related advice on both domestic and cross-border purchase and sale transactions and financings. In addition, Nathan assists both private and public sector clients in managing cybersecurity and privacy risks, conducting strategic risk assessments, and developing effective risk-mitigation, governance and incident response planning.
