Event Description:
Join us for the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce's 2023 Annual Business Conference.

As a follow-up to the SCC’s Food, Fuel, and Fertilizer Business Summit, the SCC’s theme for the 2023 Conference is ‘Transportation and Infrastructure: Connecting Saskatchewan to the World’.

While Saskatchewan has what the world needs, delivering products to national and international markets is critical. As an export-driven and land-locked province, Saskatchewan’s reliance on transportation is significant. Through informative presentations and engaging discussions, this year’s conference will address how we can unlock Saskatchewan’s transportation and infrastructure potential to position our province as a global supplier.

*The SCC's AGM will take place from 9:30 - 10:30am, prior to the conference.

Announcing our 2023 Speakers
Workshop 1: Building Our Future: A Call to Action
Time: 11:00am
Speaker: Goldy Hyder, President & CEO, Business Council of Canada
Canada’s economy depends on reliable physical infrastructure to connect supply chains, enable people and goods to move freely, support millions of jobs, facilitate the energy transition, and ensure that the economy continues to grow. And yet we’ve made it far too difficult to build new infrastructure in Canada. It doesn’t have to be this way. Governments must work with the private sector to expedite approvals for major,  game-changing, nation-building projects. Learn more about Goldy.

Saskatchewan shares its bounty with the world, exporting to 165 countries around the globe. As a landlocked province in the middle of the Canadian prairies that presents some challenges. A safe, reliable, and sustainable transportation system is essential to our way of life. It’s how we compete in a global marketplace. Highways Minister Jeremy Cockrill will discuss Saskatchewan’s approach to maintaining and enhancing strategic transportation corridors that keep our province competitive. Learn more about Minister Cockrill.
